There was no reasonaly priced accomodation in Altdorf, so I booked in at the restaurant Eggberge, a hut at 1455m. The plan was to take the cable car up, but when we came to the cable car station there was a sign saying no service because of the strong wind. Luckily then offered a bus service at four, so Roberta and I shared a taste pizza, transfered the digital maps Karl prepared for me to my HTC and then parted ways. With the bus ride came a personal guide. A young man who lives on a Farm even higher up showed me the way to my hut, a twenty minute walk, very pleasant with a lovely view of the lake and some interesting mountains like the Bisschen.
Today Madeira. Earlier this year, the Isle of Man, Bornholm. Long after my months of serious walking in the Alps. So different, in every aspect. But I want to walk. I will not give up.
