From Colle Orsiera I walked on the GTA all the way to Usseaux. A long descent to Pra Catinat, where I made friends with shepard Besso and his dog, and then to Puy, a deserted village. From there I had to climb again to an alpe, I felt more like in southern than nothern Italy, the landscape dry and it was HOT. There was some long stretches of walking close to the edge on narrow paths along the valley. High up on the left side of the valley was the highest part of the famous Forte di Fenestrelle, which was built in the 18th century and is the biggest fort in Europe. Unfortunately you can only guess where it is in the photo.
