The river just behind Fonti Minerali that after all this rain has turned into a thundering waterfall. The rifugio is packed tonight with people who have come to eat and later watch fireworks at the lake. There is some kind of celebration but I do not know the occasion, nobody seems to know. I had dinner with a very nice elderly retired Italian hairdresser from the south who has a holiday house here. I had excellent food and have a room for myself, hot shower (towels!) And all. The Nigretti family is terribly nice and Fonti Minerali has a cosy and warm atmosphere. Very nice place indeed.
