Lago Verde in the morning sun. What a great rifugio. I chatted all evening with Sylvia, who is such a nice person and who made me eat incredibly well. She is a vegetarian alike me and fed me bruschetta with various toppings, then delicious tagliatelle, an assortment of cheeses, runner beans and falafel-like fried chick pea balls. I declined the desert (lovely tarts!) Because I would have bursted. But I had a home-made Genepi, my first one even though I have been in Piedmont for almost a week.
