Today Madeira. Earlier this year, the Isle of Man, Bornholm. Long after my months of serious walking in the Alps. So different, in every aspect. But I want to walk. I will not give up.

We slept well after quite a lot of wine and lots of Scopa and had a good breakfast. Zapporthütte is a place you should go to if you can cope with the little comfort. We left for Hinterrhein at eight thirty and we in for a very interesting descent. The path used to follow the river Hinterrhein but has been washed away by the snow and stones. Now it zigzags and winds up and down grassy hills and rocks and isn't easy at all. You go up and down on narrow paths very close to the edge. Some parts have been diverted because they have become too unstable and are too close to the edge.
