Today Madeira. Earlier this year, the Isle of Man, Bornholm. Long after my months of serious walking in the Alps. So different, in every aspect. But I want to walk. I will not give up.

And this is Albergo Pomodoro in Omegna. We just drove into Omegna, which is not really nice, and found the place immediately. Parking place right in front of the hotel, which - yeeeaaah - is also a pizzeria, got the last took available, had a shower and then sat outside with a view of lake Omegna, eating lovely pizza, drinking lovely Primitivo wine (not exactly north Italy) and playing scopa. Perfect evening. Pomodoro is not a cosy mountain hut and Omegna is not a place I would actually visit under other circumstances, but if you happen to end up there, go to Pomodoro, they are very very friendly, the pizza is good and it is cheap (especially compared to beautiful Switzerland).
