Campello Monti. The "posto tappa" is located in the old elementary school, on the left. You have to walk up to the alpe to fetch the key if they are not in the village. Which was the case. It is a ten minute walk, very nice, very relaxed. This is a completely different world from where we have come from, different but beautiful. I must admit that is strange to leave Switzerland and everything seems so ugly, dirty and unorganised at first after Switzerland. And you know that I love, absolutely LOVE Italy, but that is what happens when you come to Italy after such a long time in Switzerland. However, Campello Monti is absolutely stunning. My dear friend Maurizio took me all the way up to Campello Monti. The road leading up to the village is almost scary, narrow and winding and it seems almost impossible that there is anybody up there. But there are loads of people around, because today is an important Italian holiday, ferragosto or San Lorenzo, all the locals come up to eat, play boccie or just linger because it is such a lovely place. The second photo shows the entrance to the posto tappa, I'm on the GTA now. I thought I wouldn be the only one at the posto tappa, but I'm not, other Germans have arrived (I think only Germans walk this part of the GTA), the posto tappa is perfect, simple, but it had everything you need, even a warm shower (for 15 euros), just perfect.
