The path down from Mombarone towards San Giacomo, where Maurizio had left his car. It is a very nice 1000m descent. We drove to Mattie in Valle Susa, where we had a panino and then walked up to rifugio Amprimo at 1385m. It was terribly hot, almost unbearable, but became better the higher we went on our 650m climb.
