Alpe Maccagno at 2182m. Deserted because of the long winter. All the small alpi open later this year because of that. The climb, albeit long (800m), to the alpe was very pleasant. The path through Val Vogna is long, but very pretty and we walked for long in the shade and under a clear blue sky. After a short break we climbed to the first pass, Passo del Maccagno at 2495m, past Lago Nero which still had ice on it and through lots of snow which was exhausting.
