The Santuario is huge, there are about 700 beds in the part of the estate with the guest house, our (cheap) room is a former monk's cell. There are more than ten restaurants and several bars and shops, the atmosphere is "different", a little bit like a youth hostel for the faithful. It is without doubt a place worth seeing and staying and seeing our preferred plan to take the cablecar up and go to rifugio Renata or rifugio Coda didn't work spending the night in this holy place isn't bad at all. We walked for seven hours today, climbed 730m and went down almost 1700m, not a nice walking day for me.
