My week was completely solitary until Thursday evening when I heard the door open and Helga stood in front of me. Big surprise! I met Helga once, last year in Valle Susa, at rifugio Aurelio Ravetti. She had done what I did this year, leave her job and go to the mountains for months. She walked the GTA from Munich to Monaco. We stayed in touch and there she was and I was very happy to have her.
